The artificial cattle hormone rBST is under extreme criticism from consumer groups that want a milk supply free of any man-made supplements. Harrisburg Dairies shares these sentiments and wishes to preserve the credibility of a natural milk supply.

Harrisburg Dairies receives their milk supply from local, independent family farms who sell exclusively to us and share our commitment to quality. Our farmers are required to sign an affidavit stating their milk is supplied from cows not treated with rBST. Our farmers believe, as Harrisburg Dairies believes, that their number one goal is to provide consumers with the finest products.

For quality control purposes, Harrisburg Dairies employs its own inspectors and tests raw milk for such things as antibiotics and bacteria. These split samples are also sent to an independent third-party laboratory to verify the validity of our testing.
